Unreal 4 data package increased by 23MB! QQ pushes Android 8.6.68 beta version

Recently, QQ pushed the 8.6.68 beta version update to Android users. The official log shows that this update "optimizes some details of the experience and makes it more stable and smooth."

Some users found that in this update, the Unreal Engine 4 integrated in QQ increased by 23MB from 123MB in version 8.8.55 to 146MB.

In the previous version 8.8.55, QQ integrated the Unreal Engine 4 into the package. According to the official response from the Unreal Engine, the engine integrated by Tencent in QQ is not from the official Unreal Engine, but the result of the QQ team's own transformation.

It is reported that the Unreal Engine 4 integrated in QQ is essentially a 3D real-time rendering interactive function embedded in the software. The reason for using Unreal Engine 4 is simply because it is the most suitable engine among the current commercial engines.

Judging from this news, the reason why the Unreal Engine 4 integrated into QQ occupies a larger size in version 8.6.68 is probably due to the modification or optimization of engine-related functions.
