You can pause the voice and read the text! WeChat new function experience

WeChat, which used to be updated frequently, has been quite quiet recently, but the new version is finally here. Let’s take a look at what new features it has brought us.

Finally added this function, although it is still a defective product

The new version of WeChat has added a feature that users have been looking forward to for a long time, which is the improvement of WeChat voice messages.

In the old version of WeChat, when users received voice messages, especially long voice messages, they had to listen to the entire message at once without interruption. If they were interrupted, they would have to listen to it again.

In the new version of WeChat, a pause function has been added for voice messages. Users can temporarily pause listening to voice messages and then continue listening from the interruption point without having to listen to them from the beginning again.

So why do I still call it a defective product? Because what users have always wanted is a voice message function with a progress bar that can be dragged and played at will, but after waiting for so long, WeChat only added a pause function, which is really speechless!

Reading text aloud is much more convenient

A new feature of the caring mode for the elderly has been added to the new version of WeChat, which is the reading mode. After turning on this mode, users only need to tap the text message, and WeChat will read the voice message after a while. However, for messages with more text, you need to wait for a while. The addition of the reading mode is really suitable for the elderly.

Check what information WeChat collects

In the setting options of the new version of WeChat, there are three more contents related to user privacy, namely "Personal Information and Permissions, Personal Information Mobile Phone List, and Third-Party Information Mobile Phone List". You can click on these three items to view the details. They list more detailed contents related to user privacy, and you can check WeChat's collection of personal information.

Don't change the WeChat group chat name, administrators will no longer have a headache

WeChat group members can change the group chat name at will, especially some group members like to make fun of it, which makes many group owners depressed, but this phenomenon has been put to an end in the new version of WeChat. Group owners can now set in the group management that only group owners or administrators can modify the group chat name.

You can delete friends in batches

This update of WeChat also adds a batch management function. After entering the management interface, you can perform batch management operations on contacts, which means you can delete friends in batches.

WeChat PC version also has new changes, it is more fun to watch short videos on the computer

After talking about the new features of WeChat on mobile phones, let’s take a look at the new features of WeChat PC version.

The most important update of the new WeChat PC version is the addition of the video account, which means that users can watch short videos on their computers. There is an entrance to the video account in the function button bar on the left side of the WeChat PC version. After clicking to enter the video account page, the default is recommended content. After clicking on the video content of interest, a new window will open for playback. Currently, video playback supports full screen and double speed playback, and supports automatic playback of the next video.

You can also watch live broadcast content here. Similarly, click on the live broadcast you are interested in and a new window will open to play it.

Users can post comments and likes in the live broadcast room, but the reward function has not yet been launched. In addition, users can only watch videos in the WeChat PC version of the video account, but cannot post videos.
