Apple releases security response updates to iOS/iPadOS 16.5.1 and macOS 13.4.1

July 11 news, Apple today for iOS /   iPadOS 16.5.1 update and macOS Ventura 13.4.1 update released Rapid Security Response (RSR) updates with an update package size of 3.9 MB.

IT Home Note: Rapid Security Response Updates can fix security vulnerabilities on iOS and macOS systems without installing a full system update.

The RSR update released by Apple today mainly fixes a vulnerability in WebKit. There is evidence that hackers have already exploited this vulnerability to launch attacks and execute arbitrary code, so users are recommended to upgrade as soon as possible.

The RSR updates received for iOS/iPadOS 16.5.1 and macOS Ventura 13.4.1 are small in size and can usually be downloaded and updated within a few minutes. After the update is complete, the computer needs to be restarted.

After installing the Rapid Security Response Update, iOS 16.5.1 users and macOS Ventura 13.4.1 users will see an updated version of the software, and tapping the version in the About section of Settings will display information about the installed operating system version and Rapid Security Response Update.
