HarmonyOS NEXT Hongmeng Galaxy Edition is released, and the Hongmeng ecosystem will enter the second stage

On January 18, at the "Hongmeng Ecosystem Thousand Sails Launch Ceremony" in Shenzhen, Huawei Executive Director and Terminal BG CEO Yu Chengdong announced that HarmonyOS NEXT Hongmeng Galaxy Edition is open to developers for application. Hongmeng Galaxy Edition will achieve the six ultimate native experiences of native refinement, native ease of use, native fluency, native security, native intelligence, and native connectivity.

Huawei said that more than 200 leading applications have accelerated the development of Hongmeng native applications, and the native application landscape has taken shape. Ant Group, China UnionPay and many other partners have opened up their vertical innovation capabilities, and together with Hongmeng's base capabilities, they have provided developers with efficient full-link development tools to further accelerate the development of Hongmeng native applications. At the same time, Hongmeng campus open classes have entered 135 universities, 305 college students have participated in Hongmeng activities, 286 companies have participated in Hongmeng Ecological School, and more than 380,000 developers have passed Hongmeng certification.

Zhu Yonggang, president of Huawei Terminal Cloud, said that the Hongmeng ecosystem will enter the second phase, and hopes to work with more developers to accelerate the Hongmengization of applications in thousands of industries.

Huawei plans to work with partners such as enterprises, universities, and institutions to train more than 100,000 Hongmeng developers every month. At the same time, in order to encourage more partners to join the ecological co-construction, Huawei officially launched the 2024 HarmonyOS Innovation Competition to encourage developers to create wonderful Hongmeng native applications and meta-services, with the highest single award of 1 million yuan; and released the 7 billion+ RMB "Star Plan" to continue to encourage Hongmeng native applications, meta-services, SDK and other ecological innovations!
