iOS 19 leaks are here, and the first new feature is exposed!

Although the official version of iOS 18 has only been released for more than two months, leaks about next year's iOS 19 have already appeared.

According to well-known journalist Mark Gurman's report this week, iOS 19 will launch a more conversational Siri driven by a more advanced large-scale language model. He said that this upgrade will make Siri more like OpenAI's ChatGPT, able to handle more complex requests and better respond to conversations.

According to reports, Apple internally calls the reborn Siri "LLM Siri," which means an intelligent assistant based on a large language model. The upgraded Siri will exist as a separate application, and the calling interface will be redesigned.

Compared with the current Siri, communication with the new Siri will be smoother, and the reply method will be closer to chatbots such as ChatGPT. In addition, the new Siri will also expand the application scope of the App Intents framework, thereby controlling the calls of third-party apps.

Artificial intelligence will touch every corner of iOS 19, and enhancements may include:

• Photos and videos: Potential integration of generative AI for advanced editing.
• Messages: Smarter suggestions and context-aware replies.
• Apple Music: Customized recommendations and dynamic playlist generation.

Apple's focus on AI will likely emphasize on-device processing to protect user privacy.

Apple is expected to release iOS 19 at WWDC 2025 in June next year, when Apple is expected to demonstrate the new version of Siri for the first time. However, Gurman said that the new version of Siri will not be launched until spring 2026 at the earliest.

The current iOS 18.2 beta has added ChatGPT integration to Siri. It is expected that in subsequent version updates, iOS 18 will also add integration of large language models including Google Gemini. In the iOS 18.4 version, Siri is expected to gain screen awareness and some other more powerful features for deeper control of each application, including the Chinese version is also expected to be launched. But even so, Siri in the iOS 18 system still does not have a conversation function similar to ChatGPT.

From Apple Intelligence to the new version of Siri, Apple is determined to win in the field of AI.
