Rules for the first release of App Store

1. Initial Public Offering Application Process

Please see the following flowchart to understand the initial application process:

2. First Release Rules

2.1 First Release Form

Exclusive launch means that the new version will only be released on Tencent App Store during the launch period, and the release time on the official website and other channels must be after the launch on App Store. (The development platform currently only supports applications for exclusive first releases).
Simultaneous launch means that a new version is released simultaneously on Tencent App Store and other channels during the launch period.

2.2 Scope of application of the initial public offering and initial public offering application requirements

The first product must have been launched on App Store and must be the latest version with real new features.

App Rating:
Based on the download volume, conversion rate, star rating, number of ratings and other parameters of the application on Tencent Mobile Open Platform over a period of time, a weighted calculation is performed to arrive at the application classification: S, A, B, and C. Please refer to the App Rating Rules for details.

First-time Qualification:
Currently, the first release supports applications in the three libraries of S, A, and B.
The same product can only be applied for first release once within 15 days.

2.3 Initial Public Offering Application

The first release application must be made in advance, and can only be booked for the first release within the next 5 days and 15 days. The staff will complete the review within 1-2 working days.

Exclusive first release: There are three modes available: 24 hours, 48 ​​hours, and 72 hours:
The exclusive first release of S-level apps can last up to 72 hours;
The exclusive first release of A-level applications can be supported for up to 48 hours;
The exclusive first release of Class B applications can be supported for up to 24 hours.

Release time:
The first release starts and ends at 12:00 on the same day.

First release schedule:
The first release adheres to the scheduling principle of S-level applications > A-level applications > B-level applications.

Preparation for the first launch:
First release on a working day: The first release application must be uploaded before 11:00 on the first release day.
For example: For the first release on Monday, the developer needs to upload the first release package before 11:00 on Monday at the latest, otherwise it will be regarded as giving up the first release.
First release on non-working days: Developers must upload the first release application before 16:00 on the working day before the first release.
For example: For a first release on Sunday, the developer needs to upload the first release package before 16:00 on Friday at the latest, otherwise it will be deemed as giving up the first release.

2.4 Initial Release Review

The basic product performance items such as product creativity, functional features, UI interaction, and audience coverage of the first application will be reviewed and evaluated, and the launch time and location will be allocated based on the evaluation results.
The initial review will be completed within 1-2 working days, and the review results will be fed back. Developers can check feedback through their OPEN account.

2.5 Initial Release Requirements

1. The first release shall not contain strong advertising behaviors such as point walls and notification bar push, and shall not contain sensitive information;
2. If the first-released product involves audio-visual, reading and other works, relevant copyright authorization certificates must be provided;
3. The splash screen of the first release version needs to be embedded with the first release LOGO of App Store (see 3. First release material download for details) (exclusive: App Store exclusive first release);
4. If the product has no splash screen, you need to add -xxx in "About" Official release channel: App Store http:// myapp.com
5. If there are application recommendations in the first release, there must be no recommendations for security products other than Tencent, and no recommendations from other Android application markets. 6. The version must not be changed during the first release. If necessary, you must communicate with the staff in advance.
7. The platform currently only supports exclusive first releases. The first release application cannot be released in other markets within 7 days before and after the first release on App Store.

Developers are requested to strictly follow the above requirements for the first release. If the platform finds any violations, the first release qualification of the App Store platform will be revoked.

2.6 First Issue Rights

 The first-run applications will be promoted in multiple first-run positions such as the App Store mobile client and the App Store PC version during the first-run period. The specific promotion resources are as follows:

First splash screen:

As shown in the figure on the left, the new splash screen is a fusion splash screen, that is, "the application's own splash screen + the App Store's first release LOGO" . 1. When LGOO is first released on App Store, it must be placed in the center below the app’s splash screen.
2. Each time the application is started, the first screen will display a new splash screen, and the splash screen display time must be no less than 1.5 seconds .
3. If partners need to modify the splash screen LOGO, they must contact Tencent App Store for business confirmation in advance .

5. If the product has no splash screen, you need to add -xxx official release channel in "About": App Store http://myapp.com.

If the product contains an application recommendation module, 1. It shall not recommend any security products other than Tencent’s, and shall not recommend any other Android application stores.
