Turiasaurus lived during the Late Jurassic period, approximately 155-146 million years ago. The skeleton of this giant sauropod was discovered in Spain, making Turiasaurus the largest dinosaur ever discovered in Europe.

Paleontologists have discovered fragments of the dinosaur's skull and estimated its head length to be 70 centimeters. Fossils of the Turiasaurus's forelimbs, teeth, vertebrae, and ribs have also been unearthed.
